Obviously this documenta does not announce the large critical opening to the
contemporary that the last documenta(s) have installed in the past.
Specially that one X, the last of the former century which was probably
fabulous of cultural and social freedom more of the free software and
entering the ones paperless of EU to whom a ten years later (but a few less)
we are actually fighting for official ID ( for example in FR from a sort of
despair that mostly but exclusively who having children at school will can
stay? if at last they stay for the most part of them, that is not yet
certain).
Obviously there is a problem really installed not from the curate thematic
suggested by Christina from the leitmotivs of Documenta 12, because we are
openly discussing to a fertile critical vision of the leitmotivs and of what
they call in project; more of Art projects or Art works which tribute from
their autonomous research: but to which global project documenta 12??that is
the question "tupi or not tupi", it appears;-)
Obviously we can note how mostly the men (and from my part of woman as old
monkey tracking in dialectical materialism from a former extreme
practice?and of the theory:-) do not trust the question of the relationship
of Arts and Bare life informed by the letimotiv; more we can note how at
last my sisters become suspicious of the global project of documenta 12
outside of the list (how can been used their critical tribute and their
critical works, researches or experiments, in the contextual demand).
Christina is the curator of this discussion; special guests and other guests
more any several current subscribers?whose I am a part? have accepted to
debate. If we have accepted to tribute it means that we trust her ethical
position. The question of the utility of the debate or by fragments as
quotations to any or several medias ?how and which ones?concerns her
leadership and her responsibility as curator of the debate on this list, at
the moment we have agreed by the act of freely discussing (knowing to which
tribute: documenta information and debate of ideas).
Of course we can wonder if the high curator of documenta 12 himself author
of the three leitmotivs, specially the first one of which we have still
debated more the second of which we are discussing, observes our current
debate, what would seem logical, but then why he would stay silent ? why not
also come to discuss with us?
Obviously the problem all the contrary of the diverse opposite arguments in
each leitmotiv comes from a political project which acts in coherence
through the three leitmotivs : Habermas ?> 1985:
The Philosophical Discourse of Modernity; may be containing this article
(1981) that was translated in the FR review Critique (last publisher:
éditions de minuit): "Modernity: unachieved project" (approximate EN title),
more being the leader of adepts to rebuild the Historical materialism...
That explain the third leitmotiv: "What is to be done".
A perfect installation of Habermasian (?) strategy in three terms: tradition
from antiquity to modernity/ bare life and ecstatic after the camps
(rupture)/ what to be done calls to invent or show the new modernity (as
well in matter of History: any reforms:-)
The message can be: there is no problem here and now on earth, all is to
continue as before in rebuilding the chain reproducing the pact of the past
History to the future and the problems will disappear.
Habermas is symptomatic of an actual request of Eu hegemony in the thought
being the mode of hegemony in politics (essential tribute of historical
materialism to modernity); it pretends to be progressive by returning to the
good values of the times of the criticism of the political economy (but
where is the production and where are the relationship of productions in
social progress?)
But post modernity has pointed all that is prescribed since the war from
nazism : the reason as universal certitude, more the great stories: History
of the Nations, History of the production, and Progressive project of the
Production (after the commodity value and sign).
Debord, Lyotard, Baudrillard, Derrida, Agamben and others...
It is impossible to associate Agamben from this point of view, because
Agamben has a post modern thought that tells precisely of the broken chains
and explore what is perversely changing under the effect of the reproduction
of the chains not being more symbolic relationship of the value (even
emergent bio ethic). It is not a game, it is a criticism of what Freud calls
the metaphysical thought of modernity (being in the transmission of the
changement) and what Hannah Arendt after Heidegger have shown of the radical
evil of the thought from the top to the current.

Constituting a public sphere: but soccer from all its parts is a radical
example of the public sphere.

movements, the sphere is symbolically existing or creating by itself from

If it is a laboratory as machine to integrate the artists in good reforms
and ideology respecting the global world and the local justification of the
new order of the bare life condition, resulting whatever the situations
under the new power on earth, credibilized by the debates and the
refoundation of the historical materialism, but the details of changing and
future more hegemonic reforms as a mirror of the show, by creating a public
sphere from/as the artists themselves: what to say then about or a new
academism of modernity re-borning?
Re-borning in bare life is it the subject in the mobility of the
performance?
